This is an excellent analysis, but I don't believe it applies to the 30% of his staunch supporters; I don't think these people can think that coherently. They love him because of the "alternate" reality show The Apprentices.

They still think this was an accurate rendition of his personality; they simply love him because of his "You're fired," which was "mise en scene" by the show's producers.

I don't believe he had any personal choice since everything was done for the show's ratings. And the intelligent people who made these choices were making them with their audience in mind, knowing dawn well who they were.

They are the ones responsible for the trump phenomenon.
