A CALL FOR THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE WAR ECONOMIES OF THE WORLD INTO PEACE ECONOMIES

Here’s a comment I made on Here’s Why Countries Choose Airstrikes:

L’utopie Ou La Mort

Simply put, if species are individuals, all the air strikes by rich countries on poor countries. are the symptom of an “autoimmune disease.”

The cure is to “convert” the war economies of the world into peace economies using the same resources they use in wars. How can we do that? Not by reducing but by increasing by X% all the war budgets of these economies, so they transform their war-industrial complexes (WIC) into a peace-industrial one (PIC). Why the increase? Because our attempt to cut military budget as the same effect on WIC as it has on Number 5 of the movie Short Circuit when confronted to an army of specialists who want to disassemble it to reprogram it, by saying: “Disassemble?… Disassemble?… No disassemble!” and by becoming overactive, to resist such “reprogramming.”

The X% increase would indeed convince the head of WIC to convert their economy into PIC. How will they do that? By using their expertise to fight the real natural enemies of the “human individual” all over the world, which are: Earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanic eruptions, droughts, inundations, forest fires, epidemics, and, most of all, hunger. It will take money, indeed, to convert the tanks, the bombers, the fighters, the warships, and all the other war apparatus, which we use to kill people, into apparatus to defend ourselves as a species, against these “real” natural enemies.

The leaders of the Military-industrial Complex can do it if they put their minds to it and if they have the money to do it. They are the best and most focus individuals that we have . It would keep them busy and proud, as they would then rightly be.
How are we going to do this? Frankly, I don’t know. But here is how the world would look like under such a peace economy:
Let us say, for example, that in such a peaceful world there was an earthquake in Iran. A converted world army, would send to the affected region, soon after the quake, some “earthquake airborne battalions” stationed in Germany, for example, and composed of peace specialists of all kinds, to “drop” prefab housings supplies made by IKEA and the like, rubble diggers, sniff dogs, food, medicines, etc., to help the Iranian earthquake victims.

After such a peace operation, we would not have to worry about the Iranian developing an atomic bomb, to use against us, wouldn’t we?

The same would happen in China, for example, after a hurricane or flood devastation, where a converted hurricane or flood airborne battalions would be sent. The Chinese would then become our friends, and it wouldn’t become natural for them after that to create a coalition with the Iranians to fight a drought or an inundation in Bangladesh.
And what about forest fires? Couldn’t efficient forest fire battalions on the lookout everywhere during the fire season stop any fire right at the beginning, saving thus thousands of the acres of forest that we usually lose each year?
The people in Florida would surely appreciate such a full-fledged deployment of a specialized army of post-hurricane specialists helping them in their reconstruction. The same type of help operation could be executed everywhere in the world, without discrimination. The world taxpayers wouldn’t mind supporting this world army, for which it wouldn’t be hard to enroll regular multiracial soldiers, and to find volunteers to help them when needed.
After the present war economy of the world is transformed into a never-ending peace economy, lead by an army-type organization, I believe that world peace budget will belittle the actual world war budget by many degrees, for the good of all.
