My answer on Quora to: Why is it that humans don’t have fur like most animals:

Apes and humans having similar bodies must use the energy they need to stay alive similarly. And since the brain takes a lot of it for their sizes and ours are bigger, it could have happened that in the course of evolution, we used to grow ours the energy that apes use to grow their hairs.
Women having smaller brains than men and having a more active hormonal life could also explain why women have fewer body hairs than men.

Have you ever seen "Ratapolis." It is a scientific experiment made with rats. They were placed in a big cage with everything they needed to live happily.

The experiment let them reproduce in this clause environment until they started to kill each other systematically. (unbearable to watch)

I saw the movie in class presented by the teacher, the producer of the experiment, a few years after it was made.

I thought about what I would do. When my son was born almost 50 years ago, I was experiencing Buddhism. So, thinking of reincarnation, I decided to accept my son as a wise man who already lived and was reincarnated. I decided to treat him as my master-to-be.

I raised him as a free child of Summerhill (A.s. Neil). He was free, but there were three limits he needed to accept unconditionally: I could rule out anything that had to do with his health, his security, and my money. Besides that, he was free to do whatever he wanted.

However…

Reply to one of my comment in Ask a Philosopher:

Andre, You wrote, “when “proto scientists” first understood that there was an “objective” reality outside of us which we could use and manipulate for our benefit.

What do you consider to be this “objective reality” ? Kant’s thing in itself?

My reply:

For me, “objective reality” is the reality in itself (noumena) coming in contact with the neurons of our brains through our senses, which our conscious mind observes as “appearances” of reality, as phenomena. That is the best we can do. …

What are the most disturbing facts about time/space that most people do not know?

Question asked in Quora. Here’s my answer:

The misunderstanding of space and time is what preclude scientists to solve the problems created by progress.

Space and time are indeed in relation, but this relation is antithetical:

In the reference frame of the universe, everything is exclusive; nothing can simultaneously be at the same place at the same time, but everything can move in space. While everything happens at the same instant (given temporal perspectives), but nothing can move in time.

This, in total defiance of Einstein’s relativity (sic), which is as conform to reality — with its need of a…

Who was the all time best President of the United States of America?

This question was asked on Quora. The response, two words: “Ronald Reagan”

My comment:

Reagan? Cum on! He was not a president; he was an actor following a script written for him by his well-off aids and counselors; among them, Friedman, who won a Nobel Prize to have argued that the primary goal of enterprises is to create profits for its shareholders.

IT IS NOT. The main goal of any capitalist enterprise is to be useful to society, so profits follow as a CONSEQUENCE of being “good”…

Donald Trump’s “agonistic”* display of dominance:

From Wikipedia:

*“Agonistic behaviour is any social behaviour related to fighting. The term has broader meaning than aggressive behaviour because it includes threats, displays, retreats, placation, and conciliation.”… “Some forms of agonistic behaviour are between contestants who are competing for access to the same resources, such as food or mates.” [In the case of Trump, election.] “… it involves tests of strength or threat display that make animals look large and more physically fit, [such as Trump’s behavior displayed in The Apprentice and during the debates] a display that may allow it to gain…

Here’s a comment I made on Here’s Why Countries Choose Airstrikes:

L’utopie Ou La Mort

Simply put, if species are individuals, all the air strikes by rich countries on poor countries. are the symptom of an “autoimmune disease.”

The cure is to “convert” the war economies of the world into peace economies using the same resources they use in wars. How can we do that? Not by reducing but by increasing by X% all the war budgets of these economies, so they transform their war-industrial complexes (WIC) into a peace-industrial one (PIC). Why the increase? Because our attempt to cut military budget as the…
